Community plans

As well as your personal plan, the shire in conjunction with local groups have developed both a  Municipal Emergency Management plan and is working with small towns to implement Local Emergency Action Plans (LEAPS)

More information on each can be found on the councils webpage at http://www.latrobe.vic.gov.au/Our_Community/Fire_Floods_and_Other_Emergencies/Emergency_Management

The Municipal Emergency Management Plan aims to provide timely support to any  affected community and to ensure the social and economic impact of a major emergency  is minimized.

The LEAP plans provide people with information, skills and key contacts for developing their own approach to emergency planning, they provide advice on roles and responsibilities of agencies and organizations and resource communities to make better decisions in an emergency.
