Wendy Wright

I am an Associate Professor in Ecology at Federation University’s Gippsland campus where I have taught and done research since 1994. I specialise in disturbance ecology, including the effect of fire on native plants and animals. Some of my current research projects relate to Koalas and bandicoots and the management of invasive deer species. I also work with colleagues in Nepal and China on human-wildlife projects including illegal poaching (tigers), trading in illegal species (tigers and rhinos) and restoring forest ecosystems in the Yangtze Valley.
